How to play Sexy Beach 3 on Debian Linux!

Bored and perverted? And using Linux… Poor us!

Sexy Beach 3 is an hentai game. And time to time I play dating sims. But thats not the case! I wanted to go further much further. I am used to play Sexy Beach on my Customized XBOX. Till Sexy Beach 3 got released. I downloaded an English copy and bought the original from japan. So I tried to use wine to start the game. After certain attempts I began to be bored and head out on google. And found out about Wine-Doors. Now from here on I will explain how to play Sexy Beach 3 on Linux.

First of all I run Debian from when i was 14 years old. And Ive never got realy interested in Windows or other M$ crap. Be for we are getting started you should know about the Wine and Wine-Doors.

Wine:

Wine is an Open Source implementation of the Windows API on top of X, OpenGL, and Unix.

Think of Wine as a compatibility layer for running Windows programs. Wine does not require Microsoft Windows, as it is a completely free alternative implementation of the Windows API consisting of 100% non-Microsoft code, however Wine can optionally use native Windows DLLs if they are available. Wine provides both a development toolkit for porting Windows source code to Unix as well as a program loader, allowing many unmodified Windows programs to run on x86-based Unixes, including Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Solaris.

Wine-Doors:

Wine-doors is an application designed to make installing windows software on Linux, Solaris or other Unix systems easier. Wine-doors is essentially a package management tool for windows software on Linux systems. Most Linux desktop users are familiar with package management style application delivery, so it made sense to apply this model to windows software.

Alright now we got an understanding of what Wine and Wine-Doors realy is. Wine-Doors and Wine are easy to install.

Get your Copy of Wine HERE

And your copy of Wine-Doors HERE

Make sure you install the latest versions and know how to use the “DPKG” commands.

Note: First install wine then wine-doors.

Installing Sexy Beach 3.

First you need to setup Wine properly.

$ winecfg

Configure so it would emulate Windows XP. And save the config file under your user name.

Next stop:

$ cd $HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32

$ wine-doors

Install following packages:

DirectX 9 – Windows Scripting Host 5 – Common Controls 5

After installing these packages with Wine-Doors. I assume that you managed to install them without problems.

$ wget http://www.zerodev.net/d3dx9_24.dll

From now its install & play.

    And it depends with one you have downloaded

  3. I just tested it and I still have broken models 😐
    Could you give a hint on the proper version to get?

    Indeed, about only 5% of all eroge I tried works… Sexy Beach 3 is one of them, but it’s only kind of a mediocre game and models are stuck in their default position (bones/armatures can’t move).

    By the way, for Wine 1.1.11 the only thing you need to get it working is d3dx9_24.dll, NOTHING more.

  7. i rather just buy it than downloading it buying makes it much easier
    downloading makes so much trouble

  8. Passinguy: seriously? Downloading is easier than buying the game in this case, I believe… Since it would have to be imported and everything.

  9. I fear your wget link doesn’t work. What exactly would it have to be? A native dll from windows? Is it possible to retrieve it somewhere else?. Thank you very much!
