      ubuntu is good, but gnome is ugly. Always has been. Windows users hate the look of it from first glance, i hope ubuntu/gnome have a much nicer look in 8.10. Cmon guys, get with the times, KDE looks great, surely you can get it up to spiff with it? im sure most people would agree.

      This not thing.I think Ubuntu looks good.If you want you can add KDE look and feel to Ubuntu.

      please i;m new to ubuntu 8.04 and i don’t have internet connection in my place.can i install any software on my ubuntu without connecting to the net.
      please help me or i will go back to windows xp
