The Ubuntu developers are moving quickly to bring you the latest and greatest software the Open Source Community has to offer. This is the Ubuntu 9.10 beta release, which brings a host of exciting new features.

Note: This is a beta release. Do not install it on production machines. The final stable version will be released on October 29th, 2009.

  5. Hmmmm, I AM considering trying Ubuntu…. but these screenshots are not very convincing, only the few at the end showed some real stuff. I use graphics, video and audio professionally. Although the OS itself is probably safer and leaner than windows, I’m concerned whether I can find and run the kind of software I need. I’d like to see some shots that reveal tools to tweak the core of the operating system.
