The Ubuntu developers are moving quickly to bring you the latest and greatest software the Open Source Community has to offer. This is the Ubuntu 9.10 beta release, which brings a host of exciting new features.
Note: This is a beta release. Do not install it on production machines. The final stable version will be released on October 29th, 2009.

What’s with all the Background Screenshots? What about Screenshots of the OS’s drop down and inner-workings? Or how about more New Features?

There is really a lot of new features. The upgrade from 9.04 was running good. Just try it on…

Hmmmm, I AM considering trying Ubuntu…. but these screenshots are not very convincing, only the few at the end showed some real stuff. I use graphics, video and audio professionally. Although the OS itself is probably safer and leaner than windows, I’m concerned whether I can find and run the kind of software I need. I’d like to see some shots that reveal tools to tweak the core of the operating system.
