Repositories There are thousands of programs available to install on Ubuntu. These programs are stored in software archives (repositories) and are available for installation over the Internet. This makes it very easy to install new programs. It is also very secure, because each program you install is thoroughly tested and built specifically for Ubuntu.

Here is the List of Ubuntu Edgy Eft Source list

The PLF repo’s are gone, you should remove them from the document. Specifically, this section:

    # Penguin Liberation Front (packages)

    deb http://packages.freecontrib.org/ubuntu/plf edgy-plf free non-free
    deb-src http://packages.freecontrib.org/ubuntu/plf edgy-plf free non-free

  • http://rolandog.com rolandog

Awesome! I was looking for Audacious repositories. Thanks!

  • Scott

It’s too bad the source-o-matic link doesn’t give edgy options yet. Does anyone know when it will be updated?

  • VR

I think source-o-matic kind of sucks now… they don’t include “bleeding-edge amarok” for Edgy, but they do for Dapper–which is non-existent. Also, the update and security repos seem to be missing.

    Correct me if I’m wrong!

    - VR

  • Pops

I thought that the PLF Repos were gone as well… they’ve actually been relocated to:

    ## PLF REPOSITORY (Unsupported. May contain illegal packages. Use at own risk.)
    deb http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ edgy free
    deb http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ edgy non-free
    deb-src http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ edgy free
    deb-src http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ edgy non-free
    # wget -q http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/medibuntu-key.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -

Also, if you’ve got a good graphics card, check out Beryl… it’s pretty neat.

  • zongo

    I stumbled over this… huge sourelist with a public-key script…
really cool idea to put it all in a script. Saves alot of time.

    cheers, zongo

zongo – I can’t read German. Mind providing instructions as to how to use? Thanks!

  • Adam

Can you post or get me the default sources.list for Edgy? This goes with my problems before and I thought using this would help. I have a backup of before i used this but it didnt help either and I can’t seem to find a default one.
