There can be a few occasions where you may need to manually purge the local DNS cache and/or the actual web cache of a Blue Coat ProxySG appliance. While both the DNS cache and web cache will eventually age out it can be helpful to sometimes speed up the process by flushing/purging the DNS and web cache.

There are many guides found on the net describing Kerrighed and how to set it up using Ubuntu and others.  However, to the best of my knowledge there isn't a step by step guide specifically designed for Kerrighed using Debian Lenny.  So here it is.  You can set up your own Beowulf Cluster using Debian Lenny and Kerrighed in about 50 steps.  Many of the steps described here are taken straight from other guides because there are applicable here (see sources at the bottom.)  Many other steps are based on my own trial and error.

OpenSSH is a great means to protect your connection from being sniffed by others. However, this isn't always enough. Simply proving that you connected to a server is enough to get incriminated. Unfortunately, SSH doesn't provide a native way to obfuscate to whom it connects. Instead, a proxy server can be set up. And this is where TOR comes to play. This howto covers installing TOR on a Debian based system and setting up SSH to use TOR.

VMware Inc. released an OpenSource version of their VMware-Tools, called open-vm-tools. While they're quite easy to install on Gentoo (emerge open-vm-tools), it's not that easy having them installed on a Debian Etch (4.0) if you want to go the proper way.
